Trail Horse Road house is located on a forested hillside with a big eastern view looking out over a quiet Orcas Island valley.
The house has a southern orientation with sliding doors opening to both the eastern view and a south deck below madrone trees. Key components of the owners’ program were a large open kitchen and exposed timber framing, as well as the simple, minimalist exterior form.
